How do I get into the WoW Forever beta?

There are two ways in:

The Skyborne Heroic Pack does not include beta access. Invite-A-Friend codes do not grant beta access either.

When is the beta?

The announced window is Sep 17 – Oct 21, 2026, with October 21 as the last full day of testing. The full game follows on November 4.

Blizzard pushed the first large beta patch on September 24–25 with class tuning, a cooldown manager and a memory-leak fix. See patch notes for every build.

How do I check that my account has access?

  1. Sign in to Battle.net with the account you opted in or bought the upgrade on.
  2. For a purchase, check that the order shows Complete in your transaction history.
  3. Restart the Battle.net desktop app.
  4. Select World of Warcraft and open Game Version. Look for World of Warcraft: Forever Beta under In Development.
  5. Install it following the download guide.

If the option is missing, work through beta not showing in Battle.net.

What can I test right now?

At level 20 you can create a Skyborne or any other race, play the starting zones, run Hall of Thanes and Ruins of Lordaeron, try professions and Camping, and plan talents. The talent calculator uses the same client data as the beta, so you can compare your in-game tree with it.
